Overcoming Fear: A Note of Encouragement

‘ello. Krista here attempting to share a note of encouragement. I admit, that I have done several searches on the internet for “Encouragement for Writers” and what I mostly find are quotes about writing. These are not necessarily encouraging.

What I want is the kind of thing that says: “Yes, the writing life is hard, but here is a little something you should remember to get you through.”

I have come to the conclusion that I must make my own. (Or at least get better and googling).

So here it goes:

There are many fears that a writer faces. One of those fears is what others will think of us and our writing. We are constantly in fear of being judged or evaluated and falling short.

People will judge you. They will judge what your write, how your write, why you write, how much or how little you write. They will judge of all it.

Ignore them. Be you. The only way to fail as a writer is to not be true to yourself.

Writer, mother, coder, nerd. I have more than ten years of experience in software and web development. And I have a series of middle-grade fantasy books that I self-published. I am passionate about self-publishing and believe that anyone can do it. Elegantly Self Published is my blog dedicated to sharing my knowledge so that you can do just that.
